In October 2019, I spent a day on work experience at BBC Newsbeat in London.

Here, I learnt how the team of journalists work to create engaging news coverage for a younger audience. I sat in on bulletins, helped out with scripts and even chipped in with ideas in the morning meeting - one of them was used in the morning programme.

For the rest of the day, I sat down with the presenters and journalists, asking for tips for a young journalist trying to break into the industry.
